- What size projects does LBI take on?
- Three scales: full custom homes, significant renovations and additions, and targeted upgrades to specific rooms or systems. We're most useful where planning detail and execution quality matter more than speed.
- Where do you build?
- We are based in Shakopee and regularly build across Prior Lake, Savage, Chaska, Eden Prairie, Lakeville, Victoria, Carver, Bloomington, and the surrounding south metro.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. We hold Minnesota residential building contractor license BC780119 and carry full general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Documentation is available on request.
- How long does a typical project take?
- A kitchen renovation often runs four to eight weeks of active construction following design and permitting. Larger renovations and additions typically run three to six months. A new custom home generally takes ten to fourteen months from groundbreak.
- Do you have an in-house designer?
- We work with a trusted group of architects and interior designers and can introduce you based on the project. For clients who already have a design partner, we slot in early to keep drawings build-ready.
- What is 3D scanning, and why does it matter?
- We use 3D laser scanning to capture millimeter-accurate models of existing conditions before drawing a single line of a renovation. It eliminates field surprises and lets us design with the building, not against it.
- How are pricing and budget handled?
- We work with transparent allowances and itemized estimates rather than vague lump sums. Once we have a defined scope, the budget travels with the project and changes are documented before any work proceeds.
- How do we get started?
- A short conversation. Send a note with what you have in mind, the address if relevant, and a few photos. We reply within two business days to schedule a call or a site visit.
